We’ve been serving locally caught fish and inspired Caribbean fare to guests and visiting yachtsmen for over 40 years. We boast a diverse range of flavors, from refined formal dining to the best brick oven pizza in the BVI.
Bitter End is located in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda and is accessible via the North Sound Express ferry from Tortola and the free hourly ferry from Gun Creek, Virgin Gorda.
The Clubhouse: Established in 1969. A true sailor’s haunt, the Clubhouse is known as the first bar in the North Sound. Today, The Clubhouse is the place to enjoy a great meal and even better company. The open-air dining room blends tropical with the nautical and attracts visitors from all over the BVI. Ingredients from and flavors inspired by the Caribbean, include fresh-catch seafood and local produce. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the menu changes daily. The open air Almond Walk is home to weekly cocktail parties, our legendary Seafood Night, West Indian BBQ and our high-season Pig Roast.
The Windward Mark: North Sound’s hottest al fresco bar. Spend an evening under the expansive Caribbean skies while enjoying a cold beverage or light fare at the Windward Mark Bar. Catch some of the the North Sound’s best entertainers. Schedule changes seasonally.
The Crawl Pub: The best pizza in the Caribbean and the coldest beer in the BVI, the Crawl Pub is one of the most easygoing spots in the Caribbean. Our locally inspired menu offers grilled fish sandwiches, hearty salads and casual fare. Guests can play pool, darts or foosball while enjoying sweeping views of the anchorage and beyond. The main action might be on one of our five flat-screen TVs or our monster projection screen. The Crawl Pub is known throughout the BVI for its sports tailgates and viewing parties. It’s the best place to watch the America’s Cup, Super Bowl or Formula 1, bar none.
Emporium (Bitter End Provisions)True to its outpost roots, Bitter End always has the provisions you need to stock your galley or refrigerator. We offer locally caught fish, fresh produce and fine spirits. Warm breads and pastries arrive daily at 10 a.m. from our own mainstay, Chef Winston Butler. Other cruising needs include fresh water, ice, paper goods, and dry kitchen staples. Don’t miss Chef Winston’s world famous Key Lime Pie, made fresh daily.
